June 28th 2013 saw the 2nd annual Film And Music Entertainment Awards presented at the Nautiuls Theatre. With a pleasing audience joined by the entrants in the competition, the scene was set beautifully with a theme of "amongst the stars" 

 

The redcarpet was rolled out and the paparazzi at the ready as guests rolled in dressed to the nines! Special guest on the red carpet was 2013 Tunarama Ambassador Vittorio DelGrande and champagne was flowing as the guests mingled in anticipation of the great night ahead.

 

A silent auction was on display and bids started flowing before the show and continued at intermission.

 

The audience were seated and a dark and mysterious start to the show began.

 

Music was performed by the Port Lincoln City band joined by local musicians & school musicians from St Joseph's School & Port Lincoln High & Primary Schools!

 

This year saw an added element of guest vocalists (Kat Williams, Bec Bach & Helen Marks) joining in song & special guest pianist Greg Eden tinkled the ivories on the grand piano in accompaniment, enjoying a solo or 2.

 

The evening was hosted by local stars Helen Marx and Ian (Beebs) Beeby, awards were presented by major sponsors Phil Chanon from Bendigo Bank & Peter Treloar Member for Flinders. Vittorio gave another appearance to present the prize for best dressed on the carpet - going to Mr Steve Prout who was dashing in his tuxedo & Nada Gobin dressed beautifully by Chilli Pink, also Mr Gobin won best costume

 

Winners of the major prize went to Summer Koker for her Underworld entry in the Music Video category.

The winner of the best short film was Aiden Chaplin for his Jetty Jumping documentary created with the ABC open workshop held at his school!
